1. Allocate free disk space

To install the patch, you need to allocate enough free space. Depending on the novelty of the patch, the amount of free space required always varies. For example, let’s consider patch 7.22:

• Telegram Desktop (~1.5 Gb)
• 7-zip (~5 Mb)
• Archive containing the patch (~17.5 Gb)
• Unpacked patch (~30 Gb)

Total: ~49 Gb

2. Download 7-zip

2.1. Go to official 7-zip website.

2.2. Select the necessary installer and download it.

2.3. Install 7-zip.

3. Download Telegram Desktop

3.1. Go to the official Telegram Desktop website.

3.2. Select the necessary installer and download it.

3.3. Install Telegram.

3.4. Log in to Telegram.

4. Select and download the desired version

4.1. Go to the section "Versions".

4.2. Select the required message and follow the link in the title that leads to the Telegram channel. In our case, it’s Dota 2 7.22.

4.3. Click the Скачать (download) Dota 2 7.22 button below the message.

4.4. Download all parts of the archive.

In some channels for patches, there is a link to Yandex Disk. There you can download the archive completely in one file.

5. Unzip the archive

5.1. Place the downloaded parts into one folder.

5.2. Using 7-zip, open the file named dota 2 beta_7.22.zip.001 as an archive.

5.3. Unpack the archive into any folder that is convenient for you.

6. Start the game

6.1. Launch Steam in the background.

6.2. Navigate to the path .../dota 2 beta/game/bin/win64/.

6.3. Run the file dota2.exe.
